Rabat – The opening of the visual arts exhibition “INBA Génération” took place on Friday in Rabat, revealing a selection of works created by nine laureates from the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan.
Organized by the CDG Foundation and the National Institute of Fine Arts of Tetouan, this exhibition, which continues at the Espace Expressions CDG until March 30, shows works that are inspired by several visual artistic forms such as drawing, material recycling, Arabic calligraphy, comics, 3D design and virtual reality.
In a statement to MAP, the general director of the CDG Foundation, Wafaa Naim El Idrissi, affirmed that this exhibition offers young talents the opportunity to present their creations to the public and to discuss with them around the themes covered by their artistic works.
These emerging talents have demonstrated a high artistic sense and fertile imagination by working on different media and exploiting digital means in their works, while ensuring to transmit noble values advocating the promotion of cultural heritage and preservation of national identity, she added.
For his part, the director of the National Institute of Fine Arts, Mehdi Zouak, was pleased to see the Moroccan artistic scene enriched each year with young laureates from the institute, noting that these budding artists will impact, without a doubt, the world of visual arts, through works that deal with contemporary issues.
The skills of these artists, he continued, will allow them to reexamine collective memory, understand the complex relationship between Man and his environment and present a new perspective on the individual and the world.
The holding of this exhibition testifies to the organizers’ conviction that art, as a means of dialogue, plays a preponderant role in the development of society. The works presented reflect, for their part, the diversity of artistic disciplines taught at the institute and the artistic potential of the youth of which Morocco abounds.
