WWE is currently in Saudi Arabia for its annual PLE ''Crown Jewel'' 2024 in Riyadh, but the concept of the show is different this year.
Indeed, WWE has decided to create the Crown Jewel championship for men and women. The champions of each roster compete to determine who is the superior champion and who can add this Crown Jewel championship to their list of achievements. But what does the future hold for Crown Jewel titles after the PLE?
This is not the first time that WWE has introduced championships or trophies for shows in Saudi Arabia and unfortunately, they often disappear from the company's screens. During the pre-Crown Jewel 2024 press conference, Triple H confirmed a few things about the future of the titles. He first confirmed that the championships will stay in Saudi Arabia after the show.
Indeed, the champions will not have the chance to bring the title home since the championships will remain at the immersive WWE Experience center in Saudi Arabia to be on display until the next Crown Jewel. Thus, the WWE Universe will be able to admire their diamond championships. On the other hand, the champions will have the chance to leave with a diamond ring to mark their victory.
Triple H also said that the Crown Jewel titles are like a trophy. As this is an annual event, it will be possible for a male or female wrestler to win the Crown Jewel championship several times and accumulate it on their list of achievements. Which means that the 2024 Crown Jewel champion will not defend his title for the 2025 edition, it will once again be champion against champion.
