More than three years after the phenomenon sparked by the first season in September 2021, Squid Game will return on December 26 for a sequel eagerly awaited by Netflix subscribers. Season 2 of the South Korean series has left the suspense in recent years and only thirty short seconds of new images were offered in the first trailer last September.

But fans of the most-watched series in the history of the American streaming platform finally have new information to get their teeth into! Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator, screenwriter and director of Squid Gamewas accompanied by actors Lee Jung-jae (the interpreter of the main character Seong Gi-hun, no 456) and Wi Ha-joon (aka police officer Hwang Jun-ho) at a convention of the Italian Comics and Games festival in Lucca, to answer questions from fans. During this event we learned that the protagonist decides, in the second season, to risk his life to put an end to the deadly game organized by the most fortunate. How ? By participating a second time!

After following his ordeal during the first episodes, viewers will find the island and the cult setting which shelters the hundreds of candidates who must all die, except the winner.
