After enjoying the glory days of night owls at Jean-Lesage airport, the 737 will now delight the whole family at Woodooliparc in Scott, in Beauce. The former dining plane, which is located in a new activity zone, will offer a virtual reality experience.
Bought by the theme park after the restaurant’s bankruptcy in 2022, the former airliner had a tumultuous first life at Jean-Lesage airport, where the neighborhood complained about the noise caused by its nocturnal activities.

In Beauce, it has had a makeover and has been given a new vocation, it presents on board a 360 virtual reality experience aimed at the whole family (6 years and over). The proposal has a name: AirWoodooli, Destination 737.
“We can’t just bring a plane like that to Woodooliparc. We transform it and make it something grandiose. […] For Airwoodooli, there was no question that it would be anything other than a total experience, from start to finish: vibrations, colors, smells, atmospheres. […]
So flight attendants who will welcome visitors, travelers, check their boarding pass, and then be greeted by the pilot who will give safety instructions. Every detail contributes to the quality of the experience
says the operations manager at Woodooliparc, Sheina Simoneau.

The five-minute immersive experience takes the visitor to several countries around the world and allows them to observe famous tourist attractions up close.
We also approach certain monuments. Yes, there is the statue in Rio de Janeiro. There is also the Eiffel Tower, which you can see very, very close. There are magnificent things. The pyramid in Egypt is absolutely beautiful. We brush against them. It feels like you can touch it
says Sheina Simoneau again.

The immersive film Around the World is presented exclusively in Quebec. And the project promoters already have other ideas to provide new experiences for visitors.
There are plenty of other projects because it’s not the only film that exists in this style. […] With time, there is no closure to finding something with a Christmas theme. We could go with Santa Claus and travel all over the world. Maybe something for Halloween time, maybe other times of the year
suggests the co-director and co-owner of Woodooliparc, Karl K. Boucher.

The mayor of Scott is one of the first passengers to discover the new virtual Woodooliparc journey.
It’s famous, it’s exceptional. Well done and it’s a great economic benefit for Scott and we are very proud of that
commented Clément Marcoux.
On the site, a Mexican menu will be offered to visitors traveling on Airwoodooli from June 15.
