La Matinale TF1”, Marianne James returned to the fatphobia of which she was a victim, and from which too many people in France still suffer. “You can’t imagine the number of fat people who come up to me to say thank you, thank you for what you do for us”confided the singer in Current wife in 2023.

If we don’t all have the same metabolism, we don’t have the same degree of gluttony either, admits the artist. “It is also the seat of happiness. Afterwards, all our addiction, we carry it with us. Alcoholics and drug addicts carry it a little less”she believes.

So what can we do to change the way we view overweight people? “I don’t know if we will ever change our outlook in France. It’s less cruel in Anglo-Saxon countries. I don’t know why”, believes Marianne James who thanks her parents for giving her the verve to put people who allow themselves to make inappropriate comments into place.
