You shouldn’t tease Kate Beckinsale too much when it comes to questioning her involvement in a film. Starring in “Canary Black” released last Thursday on Amazon Prime, the 51-year-old actress hardly appreciated that the journalist from Guardian questions his participation in the action scenes.
“The stunt doubles probably did the heavy lifting in the hand-to-hand combat scenes and the blurry sequences where [son personnage] flies through the air clinging to a huge drone,” the journalist wrote. “Apart from a few bruises or scratches created by makeup, Beckinsale looks incredibly chic throughout the film.”
After reading her few lines, the fifty-year-old searched through her photo gallery and brought out the photos taken during filming where we see her “war” wounds. Scratches on the knees, bruises on the elbows, fingers, forearms… The filming was obviously not easy. The actress also published photos where she is seen hanging from the famous drone.
Under the publication, Laura Vörtler, her stunt double, wanted to be clear: she said she was “seriously impressed by Kate’s physical abilities, endurance and performances, and especially by her attitude”. Before concluding: “She is a real badass and she never complained and showed all the men who was boss.”
