Singer Claude, who juggles between pop, electro, and variety, will be on stage at the Halles de la Cartoucherie concert hall, La Cabane, this Wednesday. The opportunity to present his first album “In Extremis”, released two weeks ago.
Round glasses screwed onto his nose which give him a top-of-the-class look, singer Claude, 26, has just released his very first album “In Extremis”. Presented as “a booklet of confessions”, this project allowed the artist to open up. “I wanted to present myself to people, removing the filters, to be almost brutally honest,” he explains.
“In the majority of songs, I talk about personal things, even very personal things, in a raw and simple way, without too many literary detours.” Solitude and the redundancy of everyday life are themes addressed in particular, on synthetic and electronic instrumentals.

If he is still a little unknown, Claude is already validated by big names in French song, like Eddy de Pretto who invited him to do several of his opening acts. However, this musical career was not really planned.
A musical education on YouTube and SoundCloud
“When I was a child, I vaguely played an instrument, but I was not particularly gifted, I was not told that I had any talent, remembers the artist born in Yvelines. My real musical education, I obtained it by being a listener of YouTube and SoundCloud.”
He joined a business school and obtained his diploma. But that’s not his way. “The atmosphere and the courses offered scared me.” It is especially during confinement, this suspended period, that he takes the time to experiment with musical creation, as an autodidact. And it works.
From this period onwards, he never stopped producing, began to attract attention, and one thing led to another, he surrounded himself with other professionals. He released a first EP, “Bientôt la nuit”, in March 2023. A little over a year later, he returned with an album, which he will present this Wednesday evening in Toulouse, with a concert at La Cabane.
