Capdenac-Gare is preparing to vibrate to the rhythm of the “Arts & Culture” biennial, organized by the Courants d’Art association from May 30 to June 2.

This edition promises a rich and varied program, marked by new features that will delight lovers of art in all its forms.

It will begin Thursday, May 30 with the inauguration of the festival at the Loft, rue Lamartine and the cinema rebroadcast of the film “Anatomy of a Fall”. Friday May 31, after a conference at the media library at 2:30 p.m., Place Jean Jaurès will host a friendly evening. From 7 p.m., the Cor d’Omes men’s choir will open the festivities with a free concert.

Then, gourmets will be able to enjoy a dinner offered by the restaurant Le Calypso before letting themselves be carried away by the cabaret hosted by the Cosmo Show troupe at 9 p.m.

An eclectic and festive program, hoping that the weather will be good for this outdoor evening. Otherwise, it’s the Agora room that will save the furniture! Saturday June 1, the Agora room will be the scene of an exceptional performance of the play “Les Belle-sœurs” by Éric Assous, directed by Éric Priane. For just €10, spectators will be able to enjoy this poignant comedy which explores human relationships with humor and depth.

During the day, activities (paintings, dancing, readings, etc.) will be present throughout the city.

Shows, exhibitions…

Finally, Sunday June 2 will be dedicated to “Arts on the Shore” at Square Baules, with a retreat planned to the Agora room in case of rain. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., artists and craftsmen will exhibit their creations.

Visitors will be able to participate in wooden games, rebus competitions, and eat on site. Musical entertainment will be provided by Kathleen Biaz, promising a festive and relaxed atmosphere. During the four days of the festival, several exhibitions will be open, notably at the Loft and the Agora.

Visitors will be able to discover sculptures, paintings, photographs, as well as spaces dedicated to video games.
