SFollowing Arcom’s decision not to renew the frequency of C8, divorce would be close between Cyril Hanouna and Vincent Bolloré. According to The Parisianquoted by La Voix du Nord, the host is preparing his new project.
The audiovisual regulator (Arcom) revealed in July the candidates selected for the allocation of 15 DTT frequencies in 2025, after hearings in July. The body did not retain C8, which has a fine of 7.6 million euros due to the slippages of Cyril Hanouna, host of Don’t touch my post (TPMP). An appeal is still being examined by the Council of State. The withdrawal of its frequency does not necessarily sign the total shutdown of C8, which could bounce back on the internet, while Cyril Hanouna could work on another channel or another media of the Bolloré group: namely CNews, CStar or even Canal +. Except that, according to information from Parisianthe star host would be leaving.
“Divorce is inevitable”
For the moment, its flagship show is scheduled until February 28, 2025 and the cessation of the frequency. For the future, Vincent Bolloré would not be ready to switch TPMP to Canal + or CNews, for fear of further slippages. Cyril Hanouna would therefore have started to think about his future elsewhere. He plans to launch his own digital platform which would offer programs on the internet, including Don’t touch my post. He would also have met Nicolas de Tavernost, director of the shipowner CMA-CGM and owner of BFMTV and RMC, among others.
Vincent Bolloré could still offer Cyril Hanouna to join the Cstar channel, but according to a source cited by The Parisian : “I don’t see how Cstar, which must devote 50% of its airtime to musical programs, can depreciate a program like TPMP. It’s dead, divorce is inevitable. »
