Louis Vuitton opens the doors to its new free exhibition, dedicated to design and the Art of living, on the occasion of Design Miami.Paris 2024. From October 16 to 20, head to LV Dream to discover the Objets Nomades collection from the House as well as the cult pieces from its collaboration with Estúdio Campana, through a unique scenography.
On the occasion of Design Miami.Paris 2024, LV Dream invites design and art of living enthusiasts to a unique and free exhibition (by reservation) dedicated to Nomadic Objects from Louis Vuitton and collaboration with Campana Studio. Of October 16 to 20, 2024meet in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, opposite La Samaritaine, to discover this collection of contemporary objects inspired by the art of travel and published since 2012 by the greatest international designers.
In the first part of the exhibition, the iconic furniture signed Campana Studiowhich this year celebrates 40 years of creation. The duo of Brazilian designers, accomplices of the House since 2012, unveil the Bulbo armchair in the shape of a wonderful tropical flower, the Merengue seats in leather petals or even the Maracatu hanging cabinet, their very first work for Louis Vuitton.
Between the poetry of forms, the richness of materials and exceptional craftsmanship, these hybrid pieces, with Brazilian influencesare deeply inspired by the heritage of the House. To enrich this arty stroll, the film We The Others immerses us in the history of the Campana brothers, revealing their boundless creativity which has revolutionized design since 1984.
Favorite for the Cocoon Couture ! Revisited in six unique editions for the occasion, the famous armchair (created in 2025) takes on the appearance of a celestial creature, suspended between heaven and earth. Feathers, pearls, leather sequins… Each model is inspired by Brazilian myths and flirts with high fashion. Special mention for the Cocoon Jaci, set with 11,000 brass nails, and the Matinta, decorated with iridescent feathers, designed by Maison Lemarié. The art of metamorphosis in its purest form!
Don’t miss the new one either Kaleidoscope Cabineta masterful piece made up of more than 500 pieces of colored leather marquetry, assembled in a trompe-l’oeil fashion. An object of art, cleverly furnished with hidden storage, as a nod to the legends Louis Vuitton trunkswhich always hide a thousand and one surprises.
L’exposition design continues in theLouis Vuitton Apartmenta staging of a real Louis Vuitton interior, where the art of living is expressed in all its splendor. The living rooms, dotted with trunks, books, fabrics and cushions, reveal cult pieces like the Signature sofa by Franck Chou and the Basket tables by Zanellato/Bortotto. In the bedroom, the Bell lamp and the legendary Lit trunk remind us that for over a century, Louis Vuitton has been reinventing the art of traveling…and dream big!
This unique exhibition, designed for Design Miami.Paris 2024confirms that design is at the heart of Louis Vuitton’s DNA: a dialogue between travel and dreams that sublimates the French Art of Living.
