The group New Try will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Saturday October 19, 2024 with a concert at the Saint-Thuriau village hall. An evening with great fanfare which will begin at 8:30 p.m. with the group Moo’s Law.

Then it will be the turn of the heroes of the evening, Thierry Bertho, Alex Lavirotte and David Le Bretonto perform on stage. Three rockers linked by music and friends in life. The evening will continue with the host Alliancesmelodies animations.

They met at a wedding

The history of the group begins in 2009, on the occasion of the wedding of a mutual friend, Gilles Porrot. “The three of us didn’t know each other that well. Gilles was a work colleague for me, David’s cousin and a friend of Alex. The three of us played an instrument and we thought why not surprise him by playing a piece during the wedding ball. We agreed on the song Highway to Hell by ACDC, which we more or less mastered but which we really liked,” says Thierry, the group’s drummer.

The trio could have been created that year, but Thierry’s professional activity did not allow it. “Five years later, I changed jobs and I could finally have all my weekends. I talked about forming a band again at that point and everyone was on board. »
