Since 2020, Picardy internet users have been launching calls for drawings. They then transmit them to pediatric services located in the Somme. A simple initiative which, according to them, brings joy to patients as well as staff.

“Cap or not cap?” On their Facebook page named “A drawing for my boyfriend“Picards challenge Internet users and search “un maximum drawings and kind words“which they will then transmit”to the pediatric services of the Sainte Isabelle Clinic in Abbeville and the group Pauchet Amiens in order to give them as much magic potion as possible“.
No theme is imposed, all formats are welcome: “Drawings, scrapbooking, paintings, words with hearts, smiles, characters like Mickey, Coco, Asterix, Sonic, Harry Potter“, lists the post.
It all starts in 2020. At the origin of the project: “A group of five friends who all work in logistics and commerce“explains Maxime Bacquet. “During the second confinement, during a call between friends, we sought to create something for others, to show solidarity. We thought about pediatric services, because we knew they were even more isolated.”
Four years later, the group still exists and receives drawings from all over the world, “from Paris, to Strasbourg, to New Caledonia“. Associations, schools and businesses often respond positively to their calls.
In total, the group organized around ten collections, receiving between seven and six kilos for each and accumulating nearly 4,000 drawings. “It’s free, it’s simple, it can be done by anyone and we see the good it does for the services to which we give them. We bring joy to patients, parents, staff.”
