Did you see it as a betrayal that we ignored the poles you offered to Guy A. and the production?

I think they worked primarily for the show. When I asked to remove the passage with Caroline Néron and we refused, it was for the good of the show; because it was going to get people talking and the show is called Everyone is talking about it. Controversy was part of the show. They judged that it was more profitable for the show to keep this passage. I was mad at Guy A. for a few weeks, but it passed and that’s okay. If you think it’s too hot, you leave the kitchen. That’s what I did. I wrote in my book that people watched me drown without throwing a buoy at me, and that’s somewhat true. I have the impression that we wanted to renew the formula and that the fact that I was leaving might help.
