During last week’s episode, a small detail made the Quebec viewers who were tuning in laugh.

While two candidates competed on the theme “Cheese” (they had to correctly identify dishes containing cheese), one of them had trouble with the emblematic dish of Quebec, poutine.

“Trail mix?”, stammered Emily, who has obviously never let herself be seduced by the picturesque charm of the roadside canteens back home…

After hesitating, she finally chose to move on to the next image, wasting precious seconds.

Unsurprisingly, she then lost to her rival Sharday.

Let’s be clear: we don’t expect every American in the world to know what poutine is…
