Sébastien and Alain become friends
At the Spoon, Raphaëlle and Maud surprise Sébastien in the middle of a telephone conversation, and he has a big smile on his face. Once he hangs up, they start teasing him about his love life. In addition, they learn that he has taken up cycling again. Raphaëlle concludes that her father was on the phone with Marianne, which Sébastien confirms while claiming that Marianne is just a friend. Later, Alain comes across Sébastien whose bike has derailed. He offers to help her. Sébastien asks him if he’s from the area. Alain explains that he lives in Spain and that he is there to visit his son who lives in Sète. Sébastien invites him for a drink at Spoon to thank him for repairing his bike, and they begin to get to know each other. Sébastien admits to his new friend that he hates cycling and that he pushes himself because a friend loves pedaling. He thought it would allow him to get closer to her. Alain confides to him in return that he has fallen under the spell of a woman.
At the hospital, Soizic informs Marianne that Alain spoke to him about her and asks her if she noticed his beautiful blue eyes. Marianne replies that she did not pay attention to it. Soizic then implies that his father-in-law attracts younger women, while he prefers women with experience and maturity. “Tell me, you’re not planning to set me up with your father-in-law, are you?” » Marianne then asks him. Soizic answers in the negative. Later in the evening, she tells Alain that he has every chance with Marianne and encourages him to ask her out for a drink. She also reveals to him that another man is interested in her. François shares his partner’s opinion and advises his father to try his luck if Marianne pleases him.
Manon’s apprehension
Nordine and Rachel meet at Spoon for coffee. Nordine shares with his friend the touching declaration he made to Manon, which led to their reconciliation. He then asks Rachel how she feels. She admits to him that she didn’t expect solitude to be so difficult to live with, and that she didn’t think she would fall in love with Charles either. Nordine advises him to go out and meet new people. Rachel then suggests to Nordine that they attend a concert together the next day and suggests that Manon join them. Meanwhile, at the police station, Manon confides to Roxane her fears regarding her new intimacy with Nordine. Roxane tries to reassure her. An idea then germinates in Manon’s mind: she must meet Nordine this evening at Aurore’s. She decides to take him to William. After dinner, Nordine kisses Manon. She expresses her concerns to him about their new intimacy. Nordine tells her that he is madly in love with her and carries her to the bedroom.
Karim reveals the truth to Rayane
Rayane is lost and confides in Jack. Now that he knows that Tomer is not his real father, he thinks that the latter is one of the men that his mother seduced during her youth in Paris. Jack points out that Romy told him that she wasn’t going further than a simple discussion with them. Rayane points out that she has only been lying all along. Jack theorizes that Malik took a fake fertility test in an attempt to get to him and Romy. Rayane is doubtful. His father was a dominant man, an alpha male and he would never have used his virility to cause harm to his mother. He then confides to Jack that he can’t take this whole thing anymore and that he is grateful to him for his support.
Karim, for his part, woke up early. He couldn’t sleep because of Malik’s medical history. At the start of the morning, he questions Romy about Rayane’s real father. Romy tells him once again that Tomer is not his father. Karim then asks her why she didn’t answer him yesterday when he tried to contact her. Romy explains that she was at Malik’s grave because she needed to talk to him and tell him that he won’t be able to ruin his son’s life. Karim shows understanding. Romy then declares that she would like the three of them to be happy.
At the police station, Damien confides to Karim that he carried out a DNA test outside of procedure and reveals to him that Tomer is not Rayane’s father. Relieved by this information, Karim asks Damien to do him a favor. Meanwhile, Rayane and Jack go to school. Once they arrive at the entrance to the establishment, Rayane explains to her boyfriend that he cannot attend classes because he is too preoccupied by recent events. Jack wants to stay with him, but Rayane insists that he needs some time alone. They agree to meet up after class.
Later, Karim returns home and confronts Romy. Upset, he presents her with a DNA test which states that he is Rayane’s real father. Cornered, Romy remembers the time she went down to Sète for a weekend to see her parents. Malik remained in Paris. Karim then took her to a small hotel in Aigues-Mortes… Romy adds that she did not know that she had become pregnant by him. But five years ago, Malik had expressed the desire to have another child, and when she was unable to get pregnant, he had tests done which revealed her sterility. Karim asks him if Malik knew that he was Rayane’s real father. Romy says no and insists she’s sorry.
For his part, Jack has no news from Rayane. Worried, he goes to the police station and explains the situation to Damien. He immediately warns Karim. A little later, Damien managed to locate Rayane’s phone. Romy wants to accompany Karim, but he prefers not for fear that Rayane will turn on her. Arriving there, Karim sees Rayane crossing a bridge and ready to throw himself into the void. Karim rushes onto the bridge. Rayane confides to him how disturbed he is by his mother’s lies and then laments not knowing who his real father is. Suddenly, Rayane slips. More fear than harm. For her safety, Karim then reveals to her that he is her biological father.
