A young American woman was left speechless during a wedding ceremony which ended in a mess after being left by her future husband at the altar.
“My name is Rachel Siegel and my fiancé just left me at the altar,” said the young woman still in her white dress in a 12-second video that went viral on TikTok, taken up by the Huffington Post on Sunday.
This painful moment told almost live on social networks sparked a wave of support for Ms. Siegel who received more than 19,000 comments of consolation, after this wedding ceremony which went wrong, shocking the guests.
Although she did not detail the circumstances of this romantic disappointment, the fallen bride is shown on her TikTok account trying on wedding dresses several weeks before her now-canceled wedding.
“That means it wasn’t the right one. The right one is always waiting for you, you will eventually find it,” one Internet user tried to console her, before another insisted: “Sometimes, the trash cans take themselves out. You had a narrow escape!”
The next day, the former bride-to-be returned to social networks to thank all the people who were behind this wave of support and solidarity which did not fail to surprise her, according to the Huffington Post.
“Even in the hardest times of our lives, we can find so much love and support,” she said, adding: “Even though I lost a great love, I was surrounded by immense love, and by people who wanted to help me feel better.”
