Kristin Scott Thomas secretly married John Micklethwait, the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg, with whom she has been in a relationship for five years. The ceremony took place in September, surrounded by relatives of the two families, according to an article published by “The Independent”.
At 64, the star remains discreet about her personal life. During an interview with the Financial Times earlier this year, she declared: “I’m not going to talk about him, I’m talking about myself,” thus affirming her wish to preserve her privacy.
Since starring with Prince in the 1986 film “Under the Cherry Moon,” Kristin Scott Thomas has built an impressive career, appearing in more than 70 films, such as “Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “The English Patient » and “The Dark Hours”. She has also shone in several French productions, including “Elle s’appelle Sarah”, and performs regularly at the theater.
John Micklethwait, 62, has led the Bloomberg editorial team since 2015, after having been editor-in-chief of “The Economist” for nine years. Under his leadership, the Bloomberg team has grown to 2,700 employees.
Kristin Scott Thomas is also the mother of three children, from her union with François Olivennes, from whom she divorced in 2005 after 17 years of marriage. In 2013, she joked to the Sunday Telegraph about her likelihood of remaining single, saying her lifestyle made it difficult to maintain stable relationships. “I never stay more than a few weeks in the same place,” she admitted, highlighting the challenges linked to her career.
