Celine Dion’s interpretation during the Paris Olympics finally available

Expected since the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games at the end of July, the recording of Céline Dion’s performance was unveiled this Thursday, October 10 at midnight on all listening platforms.

Song of the year? Three months after impressing the audience at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games with his resumption of The Hymn to Love by Édith Piaf, Céline Dion released her version at midnight this Thursday, October 10 on all streaming platforms.

A date which was not left to chance: this Thursday, October 10 marks the 61st anniversary of the death of Edith Piaf, who died in 1963 at the age of 47.

The image of Celine Dion on the Eiffel Tower will remain as one of the highlights of the Paris 2024 Olympics. This performance was her first since announcing that she had stiff person syndrome, neurological disease which affects her voice and forced her to put her career on hold and postpone her tour.

Other Olympic titles already available

Several key pieces from the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games have been unveiled in recent weeks. The song Mea Culpa (Ah! It’ll be fine!), performed by the metal band Gojira with opera singer Marina Viotti during the opening ceremony, has been available for streaming since the end of August.

The version of Nightcall by Kavinsky, Angèle and Phoenix, which the trio performed during the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on August 11, was made available on September 20.

Victor Le Masne has finally released both versions of the song Paradethe anthem of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games which has gone viral since the start of the Olympic events. Two versions are available: a full version of 11 minutes and another of 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

His other compositions for the four ceremonies will soon be available “in album form”, he promised. But we do not know if the resumption of My feather thing of Zizi Jeanmaire by Lady Gaga or if the mashup of For me formidable et Bohemia by Charles Aznavour by Aya Nakamura will be available soon.
