In the episode of Love is in the meadow broadcast this Monday, October 7 on M6, one of Valentin’s suitors, Flavie, decided to take the farmer from the childhood home he had just left. A place where the memory of his deceased father is still vivid.

The extract begins with a meeting in Valentin’s living room. The latter is sitting on the sofa next to Ilona, ​​his second suitor, when Flavie explains that they are both going to leave for their first tête-à-tête. “I’m going to take you to a place that will definitely be close to your heart, we’ll be able to spend a little time together. You’ll just have to hit the road”she warns.

When the farmer asks where they are going, Flavie replies: “You will be able to enter the address of your family home. » Valentin seems a little surprised and responds: ” Ah OK. » It must be said that he left this home where he grew up only a week earlier.

A surprising place for a first tête-à-tête

“I knew it was going to shake him up a little but it was important to me to see him in his family home. It’s a way for me to learn to discover him because he still lived there for 26 years”justifies Flavie alone in front of the cameras.

For his part, Valentin recognizes that “it’s going to be weird” to return: “At first I wasn’t particularly ready. I had gotten into the idea that I would show the house to the one who stayed. But she was the one who proposed. Maybe this is a sign? » In the car, the 21-year-old young woman tries to reassure her: “We’re not necessarily going to talk about your dad, eh, but it’s more to see where you grew up. »

Once arrived, the breeder and his suitor talk about their respective collections. Valentin loves miniature tractors, while Flavie is a numismatist and collector of coins. Then Valentin opens up about his childhood. “When I was little I was always outside, and then my brother rode on a tractor, the question didn’t arise. My dad has vintage tractors, I collected them. We had tractor fairs on Sundays”he says.

“Uncomfortable”

Talking about his father, who died eight years earlier, brought tears to Valentin’s eyes but also to Flavie. “Want a cookie?” »she asks him to cheer him up. The young man accepts. “ You said you wanted to be pushed around”she blurted. And he replied: “Ah well, that’s for sure. I hadn’t come back for 8 days. My mind was elsewhere, it was going well. » The young woman in tears apologizes.
