Hadrien Alvarez runs drawing classes in Beausoleil all year round as part of the workshops offered by Lusine. Originally from Villefranche-de-Rouergue, and after studying in Marseille then living in Berlin, he returned to Nord-Aveyron to set up and co-run the Réplique gallery in Rodez and give numerous drawing lessons throughout the department. As part of his teaching, he has set himself the mission of “dispel the popular adage that drawing, and knowing how to draw well, is a matter of innate talent, almost a blessing”.
On the contrary, he strives to transmit to his students a set of techniques which allow them to approach drawing step by step, including for beginners. “Like any artistic practice, drawing is learned and as long as you know where to go, you can only progress at your own pace”.
For adults and children, it serves as a guide to learning the basics of illustration drawing, comics or manga.
For the youngest, the approach will be as fun as possible while offering knowledge and techniques on which to rely over the long term.
For adolescents and adults, this approach can be enriched by an uninhibited discovery of anatomy and perspective. Several workshops are set up: Saturday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (adults and adolescents), Wednesday, at 5 p.m. (manga workshop for adults and adolescents) as well as a children’s class whose schedule remains to be determined.
