In the last episode of season 2 of Rings of PowerGlûg, the orc who has been Adar’s right-hand man since the start of the season, holds a special place. The opportunity to learn more about its interpreter, Robert Strange.

Fans of the JRR Tolkien universe are experiencing the conclusion of the second chapter of the series this week The Rings of Power. On the one hand, in the Rhûn region, The Stranger ends up understanding and revealing his true identity during a sequence that could anger fans of the British author… On the other, political conflicts rage in Numenor, while in Khazad-dûm, Prince Durin faces immense loss and a well-known threat… But the majority of the action takes place in Eregion, where the battle rages. One of the main twists of this confrontation takes place when Sauron manages to manipulate the orcs of Adar so that they turn against him. This is particularly the case of Glûg, the orc who was his right-hand man since the very beginning of the season, who pretends to be dead to lure Adar into a trap before stabbing him. A betrayal which will not bring good luck to Glûg, assassinated by Sauron a few scenes later… Final opportunity to take an interest in his interpreter, Robert Strange.

The Rings of Power season 2: Robert Strange, the interpreter of Glûg, was already in season 1 with another role

It is obviously very difficult to recognize the features of an actor after he has spent hours in the makeup chair to see himself made up as an orc. But Robert Strange was indeed already present in the first season, where his character Glûg did not appear. Indeed, in the first salvo, he was already playing different orc roles. And for good reason, originally Robert Strange considers himself a “performer” in addition to an actor, working a lot on choreographies to interpret different creatures. He also plays different roles in series like Doctor Who where he played the role of Bogeyman in the last season opposite Ncuti Gatwa.

The Rings of Power : Robert Strange is the opposite of his character in life

While an interview was planned between Tele-Leisure and Robert Strange last July during the San Diego Comic Con, what was our surprise to discover a young man with a slender figure and a neat mustache who dominated the room from his height of 1.96 m. On his social networks, Robert Strange regularly displays his metamorphoses where we see him go from model to creature of evil…
