Organized in two stages by the Friends of Poulpie associationwith a traveling game and a grand finale at the Hectare brewery, the festival Octobière highlights the richness of artisanal breweries here, but also elsewhere, with several guests from all over and even beyond. In the end, that’s all Toulouse which celebrates craft beer over the course of a week with the sweet scent of hops.

A traveling festival

Octobière takes place in two stages. From the Monday 7until Friday October 12the festival visits 25 bars and other cellars in Toulouse for an overview of 57 events! Events themselves structured around three themes:

THE TTO for Tap Take Over, see a brewery storm the taps of a bar to connect its own kegs and offer visitors and other epicureans its craft beers.

THE tastings invite enthusiasts to small group meetings, around a brewery, with of course tastings and discussions about the manufacturing process.

Finally, the food pairingssee partner establishments offer specially created menus with dishes and beers harmoniously combined for a real deluge of flavors. There Bear’s House, The Shooter, At the Stove of the Beastthe Wanted Jack Saloon, The Bierograph, Fluid Mechanics, L’Évasion bar, Le Salmanazar, Rooster & Beerthe Dada the Café Ginette or even the Decapsule Clubare among the participating bars.

The heart of the festival

But Octobière is above all a big day in the form of a final bouquet, Saturday October 12 at the Hectare brasserie (21 bis rue Marius Tercé) which will offer multiple activities, with from 2 p.m., tasting workshops, quizzes, or even DJ sets with DJ Highstyleet DJ Ozy. On site, 20 breweries will present their creations! A shuttle service will also be offered from Compans Caffarelli metro station.

“Our objective is to democratize craft beer with the aim of promoting the know-how of brewers and local producers,” explains the Les Amis de Poulpie association. A festival which aims to introduce as many people as possible to the subtleties and richness of craft beer, in a festive atmosphere conducive to sharing.

Octobière Festival, from Monday October 7 to Saturday October 12, 2024, in several bars and cellars in Toulouse. Grand finale on October 12 at the Hectare brewery, from 2 p.m. Price: €6. Full program on the event website.
