The exhibition event “Genghis Khan, how the Mongols changed the world” closed on Sunday May 5, after seven months of presentation at the Château des Ducs de Bretagne.

More than 247,000 people discovered it, with a record average visit time of one and a half hours.

The parallel cultural program, in partnership with numerous Nantes institutions (conservatory, Permanent University, Stereolux, Angers Nantes opera, Sacred music at the cathedral, Katorza, Cinématographe, Lieu unique), offered a discovery of contemporary Mongolia in all its forms and each of these meetings was full.

To close this season, Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, the Naadam, a major traditional festival, was organized at the castle in the presence of more than 350 Mongols and 7,379 people.

The exhibition will continue its journey on an international tour. First in Mongolia, in Ulaanbaatar, at the Chinggis Khaan museum, from July 3 to August 31, then in Europe, in Prague, in spring 2025, and in Germany, in 2026, before Montreal in 2027.
