The Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the most prestigious galloping event in the world, will be contested this Sunday, October 6 at 4:20 p.m. at the ParisLongchamp racecourse. Sixteen gallopers aged 3 and over from five countries (, Ireland, England, Germany and Japan) will compete over the distance of 2400 meters.

(Zone-turf.fr) – One year after the coronation of Ace Impact (6 victories in 6 races), in the 2023 Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, no undefeated horse will be at the start of the 2024 edition. But one of the sixteen competitors only suffered defeat once. This is Vega’s Look. Indeed, he has three successes in four races since the start of his career and he won the Qatar Prix du Jockey Club as champion (a race won by Ace Impact last year). His only failure should be put into perspective because he took part in the Qatar Prix Niel (G.2) in mid-September when he was making a comeback after three months of absence and was not yet in top form. Carefully prepared by the Lerner family, it is capable of winning the holy grail.

An open 2024 edition

The 2024 edition of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe is open and many competitors can play a leading role. Starting with Sosie, undefeated on this course following his successes in the Grand Prix de (G.1) and the Qatar Prix Niel (G.2). Having just slotted in between Sosie and Look de Vega and trained by Jean-Claude Rouget (the title holder), Delius will also set off with ambitions. Still on the French side, the mares Mqse de Sévigné, undefeated in 2024, and Aventure, formidable over this distance, have a good card to play. In search of a first coronation in the Arc, Japan will count on Shin Emperor, the brother of Sottsass (winner in 2020) and author of a pleasant comeback in the Irish Champion Stakes (G.1). The Englishwoman Bluestocking, winner of the Qatar Prix Vermeille (G.1), and the Irishman Los Angeles, winner of the Irish Derby (G.1), will also be in sight.

Up to €600 offered to bet on horse races!
