The Nous Voulons des Paysans 47 collective offers you “la ferme du bois Fleury”, a live theater show allowing you to discover with emotion the agricultural history of France, from May 25 to 27.
The collective Nous Voulons des Paysans 47, made up of the associations Horizon vert, ADEAR, Terre de Lins, Au Fil des Séounes and Générations Futures, is organizing a live theater show “La ferme du bois Fleury”. Presented by Fred Dubonnet, entry is in “free and conscious” participation, with one objective: to provide access to culture to as many people as possible.
Express the different forms of agriculture
The idea was born a few years ago with a particular intention: to put into perspective the multitude of forms that agriculture takes today. Thus, during the months of July to October 2020, Nous Voulons des Paysans 47 organized interviews with farmers, breeders, market gardeners, cereal growers, active or retired in order to discuss their history, the functioning of ‘a farm, etc.
From November to December 2020, the Lot-et-Garonnais collective of associations invented a story about two types of agriculture. In order to better bond each other, they imagined an exploitation of the same siblings. “La ferme du bois Fleury” was ready for the boards on December 20, 2020, after a final rereading by their committee. During the first quarter of 2021, the collective took advantage of the closure of performance venues to rehearse. The play was actually able to see the light of day with a premiere in spring 2021, several months before the date initially planned.
Summary and programming
In the mid-1970s, two brothers shared a farm. The two will follow different paths: one will cultivate cereals conventionally and the other will turn to market gardening. Spectators will be able to observe the two brothers meeting at aperitifs for fifty years, discussing agriculture, politics and women. This show is intended for all audiences and offers a journey rich in emotions into the history of French agriculture from two very different points of view.
