The rock group Ipse Workship made its instruments resonate in the vaults of the church of Sablé-sur-Sarthe, Saturday September 29, 2024 in the evening as part of the Mission Congress, the Catholic festival, which takes place for three days in the Sabolian Country. It began with a procession through the streets of Sablé on Friday.
Singing and dancing in the church
Several hundred people, all generations combined, sang and danced to the rhythm of the compositions of the Angevin group founded by Olivier de Bourmont.
We are Christian musicians who believe that singing is a powerful vector of evangelization because it touches hearts and is universal.
The shared scene
A few minutes from the end of the concert, Olivier de Bourmont left the microphone to a young Chinese woman so that she could tell about her religious journey, in China, then in France. The singer then shared the stage with two other women, one Malagasy, the other Lebanese.
The Ipse group will be back in SartheSaturday October 12, in Téloché.
Round table, mass and blessing of the tractors
The Mission Congress continues this Sunday with a round table on agriculture at Notre-Dame du Chêne, a blessing of tractors, a gourmet coffee with the monks of Saint-Pierre abbey and a mass presided over by the bishop of Mans, Monseigneur Vuillemin.
