Friday September 20 in the afternoon, Chloé Duong from the Maëlström company in , supported by the Fabrique francophone de Cahors, performed, at the end of the week she spent in residence at the Scène d’Anglars , the play “This is the end” by Anne-Christine Tinel. In front of a deliberately small audience but among which were the cultural mediator Magalie Gauthier and the vice-president of the community of municipalities in charge of culture, Jacques Baijot, the actress but also director displayed a multifaceted talent : ranging from comedy to tragedy through choreography.

“The play is a reflection on power and its loss. Stuck in the waiting room of the afterlife, the ghost of a fallen queen (in this case Marie-Antoinette) carries around her head and her obsessions. ” At several moments, head and body will separate through the play of lights and give rise to surreal scenes, allowing us to question a relationship with submission and authority… This work of visual illusions constituted an important comic support. “For this creation, we start from figures from yesterday and today, combining lightness with grand guignol,” comments the performer. Hoping that the piece will appear again on the program of the Anglars stage.
