Artus was the guest of “Bonjour! La Matinale” this Monday, April 29 to discuss his first film as a director.

He is signing “Un p’tit truc en plus”, a comedy in theaters this week which deals with disability with humor.

He talks about it as a birth which should take place this . “I can’t wait to see the baby’s face”, smiled Artus. a series of previews, his film A little something extra sets out to conquer audiences in cinemas. A special project because it is his first feature film as a director. The comedian features a duo of robbers, father and son who, to escape the police following a theft, find themselves involved in a stay organized for people with disabilities. His character, Sylvain, will even pretend to be disabled.

I like films that take us out of our daily lives

Artus confesses that A little something extra was not easy to produce, with some of his interlocutors showing reluctance towards this film which features actors with disabilities. “I even heard phrases I didn’t think I could hear, like ‘When I see disabled people, I change sidewalks'”says the actor in “Bonjour! La Matinale TF1” this Monday. “It is clear that 28 years later The eighth day with Daniel Auteuil, there haven’t been many films with disabled people”he emphasizes.

If he is “closer in what he likes to Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano”directors ofUntouchablesArtus counts among his idols one of the most unique American directors. “It’s my dream to film with Tim Burton. I like films that take us out of our daily lives,” he said. Before you can hope to meet him, the comedian will be back to his first love at the start of the school year with his new one-man show.
