The complete program for the new edition of the festival was revealed this Thursday evening. The meeting is from June 28 to July 31. Ten concerts are already sold out.

“The Carcassonne Festival is a popular festival where emerging artists, local artists and established artists come together. And this mix combined with the unique setting of the City and the intimate atmosphere of the Bastide stages offers magnificent moments of emotion every summer“, summarizes Pascal Dupont, the director of this cultural event.
This Thursday evening, the complete program for the 2024 edition was made official.

Ten concerts are already sold out: Christophe Maé, Shaka Ponk, Ludovico Einaudi, Scorpions, Mika, Calogero, Louise Attaque, Toto, Sting, Patrick Bruel. “This is unprecedented in the history of the festival. Last year we achieved the record of putting on ten sold-out shows at the launch of the festival at the beginning of July, but this year the public’s enthusiasm shows that the Festival is awaited and that the programming found an echo in the hearts of the Carcassonne public.”
And the organizers are all the more optimistic that other shows should also be sold out in the coming days. “I’m thinking of Big Flo & Oli, Status Quo + the Starnglers, Greta Van Fleet, Julie and Camille Berthollet where the last tickets are currently on sale. In general with the launch of communication which intensifies from the month of May, and the people who are now looking forward to the summer, I have no worries about the fillings of the last shows.”

From Toto to Carmen

This 2024 edition is placed under the pop/rock sign “with both legendary artists like Toto, Scorpions, Sting, Status Quo and emerging artists and groups like Greta Van Fleet and Pierre de Maere.” But not only that, eclecticism being as always the key to programming. “In the first part, we returned to the Opera with Carmen, which was eagerly awaited by the people of Carcassonne. As proof, I can cite the ticket office which exceeded 2,000 people.”
The other part of the festival is the off-program, free shows throughout the summer in town and at the Cité. “My greatest pleasure is to see artists from IN come to give concerts at OFF. This is the case of Olivia Ruiz this year who, on the occasion of the 20th edition of OFF, decided to offer her new show to the Carcassonne public.”
On July 20, she will take the stage at the Chénier space, from 10 p.m., for a free concert.

Major meetings with OFF
