Bournazel Castle will host two concerts “exceptional” according to the organizers, in the coming weeks! So mark your calendars. Next weekend, Saturday, September 28, starting at 8 p.m. in the salons of the castle, the Italian artist Pernelle Marzorati will introduce the baroque harp. This instrument, which is among the oldest, was very present during Antiquity (Egypt, Greece, Rome) and throughout the Middle Ages. However, it was in Italy, during the 17th century, that the harp gave rise to the writing of its own repertoire, both lyrical and virtuoso. Pernelle Marzorati is a very young harpist, undoubtedly the most promising of the new generation.
A month later, on Saturday October 26, it is Spanish baroque music that will be in the spotlight this time. With Les Kapsber’girls who will offer a dive into the end of the Spanish Golden Age by focusing on one of the most important genres of this period: the Tonos Humanos. In contrast to the Tonos Divinos, this term groups together vernacular strophic songs that were appropriated by Spanish composers of the time, like the Villanelles in Italy and the Brunettes in France. A program with the shimmering colors of a still incandescent Spain, where voices intermingle with the sounds of the harp and percussion.
