This will be followed by Mercotte’s technical challenge, whose recipes will no longer come from the 81-year-old blogger’s famous grimoire. Each week, great pastry chefs will come to challenge the candidates by asking them to reproduce iconic cakes.

Finally, the amateur bakers will take on the surprise test where unexpected challenges await them. Among them, making a very light cake that could fly away or even trompe-l’oeil. The candidate who has made the best cake will receive a “golden cup cake” ensuring immunity and a qualification for the following week.

The Secret Kitchen

Present for two seasons, the secret kitchen will now be led by Mohamed, finalist of season 10, and Noëmie Honiat, pastry chef, finalist of season 5 of Top Chef and sworn to The Best Bakery in on M6. Broadcast in the second part of the evening, this event will see two eliminated amateur pastry chefs compete head-to-head.

A Belgian in the casting

Among the fourteen amateur pastry chefs this season is a Belgian, Laetitia, aged 35. A housekeeper, the one who will defend our colours in the show is also an artist who loves to draw on the cakes she makes.
