It is at 266, rue Saint-Honoré in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, that Nishane has just opened the doors of her very first boutique in France. This showcase, in which the 31 fragrances of the Turkish niche perfume brand are displayed, is also the first opened by the brand outside of Istanbul where it has three.
Founded in 2012 by Murat Katran and Mert Guzel, both from Istanbul, Nishane, which means “sign” or “symbol” in ancient Persian, was officially launched in the Milanese boutique Esxence in 2015. Since the brand, which offers a modern perfumery inspired by the history and culture of ancient Constantinople, has established itself in more than a hundred countries via 1,500 resellers.
If these strong markets are the United States, Italy or even Germany, until last September the brand was not directly present in France. “France is a very competitive market with very strong local brands. So in September we arrived at Nose and now we are opening our Parisian boutique,” explains Senem Yazak, director of Nishane perfumes.-
Nishane, which offers perfume extracts in 50 or 100 ml (from around 200 euros) concocted in particular by renowned noses such as Dominique Ropion or Anne Flipo, has also just opened its first store in Italy in Milan. Because after the wholesalethe independent brand now wishes to plow its scented furrow by retail.
