Shuttles made available to RSA beneficiaries for the grape harvest

-

Free transport – The grape harvest starts today. For RSA beneficiaries who participate, shuttles have been set up to access the vineyards

While some RSA beneficiaries must now prove that they are working to continue receiving aid, in the Marne, winegrowers have been promoting professional reintegration for five years. This year, beneficiaries can even take advantage of a shuttle to be taken to their workplace, as reported by our colleagues at France Bleu.

The grape harvest will be in full swing in the coming days in the Champagne vineyards. To meet this significant need for labor, the department and France Travail are offering RSA beneficiaries the opportunity to participate in the grape harvest without losing their allowance. However, this win-win agreement, initiated in 2019, excludes certain people due to their lack of mobility.

Free round trip shuttle

Local authorities and industry players, including the Union des Maisons de Champagne, have therefore worked together to solve this problem. The solution found is the establishment of a shuttle, supported either by the champagne producers or by the department. For example, workers living in Châlons-en-Champagne will be picked up from 6:45 a.m. in front of the Marne prefecture and dropped off at the same location at 6 p.m.
