From November 18 to 24, 2024, it is World Antibiotic Resistance Week.
The 5th edition of the regional day for the proper use of antibiotics is organized November 19th next at Museum Aquarium de Nancy by the Regional Antibiotherapy Center of the Grand Est. This free day, registration required, is open to the general public. It will allow us to review the national strategy deployed in the Grand Est in terms of antibiotics and to highlight its management while giving voice to regional actors by highlighting their projects.
Better understanding antibiotics and antibiotic resistance at Nancy University Hospital, November 21
At the same time, professionals CHRU de Nancy will have a stand on November 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the building Brabois Adultson the Brabois hospitals website. In Europe, 35,000 people die every year due to an infection resistant to antibiotics, as many as influenza, HIV and tuberculosis combined. Any antibiotic therapy prescribed will have an impact.

The World Antibiotic Awareness Week aims to raise awareness of the global phenomenon of antibiotic resistance and to encourage the general public, healthcare workers and decision-makers to adopt best practices to prevent the emergence of antibiotic resistance and that it continues to spread.
