This meeting had been prepared for Ukrainian families by the people from the Collective who provide French conversation sessions every week at the social life space in Nay. The cakes and drinks that the members of the Collective had brought were delicious and varied.
A capacity for integration into the social fabric of the village
Mayor Michel Lucante introduced the evening by highlighting the capacity for integration of Ukrainian families into the social fabric of the village and he said he was happy that the municipality was participating.
In his speech, Jean-Paul Vallée, the coordinator of the collective, warmly welcomed the gathered Ukrainian families. He wished them a very happy new year 2025 in Béarn and above all that the war ends in Ukraine as quickly as possible.
He assured these families that CUPN will continue its support and help them as best it can. He also thanked the municipality of Coarraze and Heste Coarraze for their support, as well as the local associations which help Ukrainian families throughout the year: the Secours Populaire and the Secours Catholique de Nay, the Social Grocery of Coarraze, etc.
At the end of the speeches, Anne Marie, Amélie and their companion offered a pleasant clown show, all in onomatopoeia that adults and children had no difficulty in understanding and repeating. Then the families and members of the collective savored the cakes together with relish.
