A year after their launch, the channels character confirm the ambition of the project designed by Mediaone Group to bring together programs from private Swiss channels. With an audience of 185,000 viewers in the second half of 2024the four channels recorded growth of 38%. The carac1 channel alone has more than 107,000 daily viewers. Its programming offers to bring together entertainment shows, live broadcasts and replays.
An extensive program
Since their creation, the Carac channels have enriched their offering with 15 new programs, demonstrating a desire for innovation to meet the varied expectations of the public. Among these new features, “ Enter Nous » , an interview with entrepreneurs and “ New Era“, a series on Geneva airport or ” Game On“, the meeting place for gaming enthusiasts, and “ Spatulas“, dedicated to Swiss gastronomy, continue to appeal to a wide audience.
In addition, each month, the Carac channels offer an average of 80 films, including recent productions which are essential, offering a varied cinematic experience, from thrillers to dramas.
New in 2025: TV studio creation
A new TV studio will be operational in March within the group’s walls. Elliot Marchl, head of the Media One Group TV division, gives us more explanations:
What will this new studio be like?
This is a 9m long by 2.5m high LED wall. Which will allow us to find images in 4K.
Will it be within your walls?
Yes, on the 6th floor. Until now, we filmed in the radio studio, which did not allow us to accommodate projects requiring sets or space.
What types of customers are you targeting?
As the space is completely modular, we can imagine advertising shoots, recordings of talk shows, live shows or mini-series. Clients can rent the space and come with their own cameras and control room, or entrust us with the overall production since now we will be able to offer all the equipment.
