During her greetings to staff and partners, the general director of Ussap, Sylvie Bonetto, spoke of some upcoming changes in the Limouxin basin, as part of a new real estate plan.
In the presence of the mayor of Limoux, Pierre Durand, representatives of the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Department, as well as staff, the general director of the Health and Social Union for Support and Prevention ( Ussap), Sylvie Bonetto, followed the traditional exercise of wishes at the start of the year.
She began by thanking the partners for their support which made it possible to “develop appropriate responses to mental health issues, particularly for adolescents”citing as an example “the creation of a dedicated care sector”, “the development of early identification of emerging psychoses in young people aged 16 to 30” or the implementation “specific consultations for the management of psychotrauma”.
Changes in services
2024 also made it possible to develop “the places outside the walls”. “This innovation reflects our constant desire to adapt to the evolving needs of people with disabilities, while promoting their inclusion and respecting their choice”underlined Sylvie Bonetto. The general director also congratulated the Ussap teams who were subject to external evaluations, including Mas d’Alaigne, for “the excellent results obtained”.

Above all, Sylvie Bonetto made a certain number of announcements concerning the care offered throughout the Limouxin basin. In 2025, Ussap will indeed “develop a new real estate master plan” on the sector.
-Thus, all psychiatry activities will be grouped together on the Aragou site, while the non-consent care sector will be transferred to Carcassonne, to the Jacqueline-Verdeau-Paillès clinic. All services relating to the course “disabled people aiming for inclusion in the natural environment” will, for their part, concentrate on the Monte Cristo site to “promote the link with the city and the Esat”.
A seniors’ village
Finally, the “seniors’ village” will gather on the hill of Luguel “establishments and services welcoming the elderly on a quiet, green site favoring outdoor walking spaces”.

Please also note that a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) diagnosis will be initiated in order to “have a real roadmap for the next ten years” and that one “photovoltaic project” would be under study with “the actors of Limoux”.
