Gaza: Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi promises to continue the release of hostages

Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi said this Saturday he had visited troops in Gaza, stressing that the IDF’s intense military offensive had created the conditions for the return of the hostages. Despite the progress made against Hamas, he insisted the mission was not over. “We will not stop, we will not rest until everyone has returned,” he said, reaffirming the army’s total commitment to the families of the hostages, civilians and soldiers.

The general stressed that the IDF and Shin Bet operations were decisive in creating the conditions for the agreement. In the town of Beit Hanoun, Israeli forces eliminated numerous terrorists, demonstrating their determination to permanently weaken Hamas. Halevi also spoke about the geopolitical transformations of the Middle East, saying that the threat map had changed dramatically. The Israeli military remains mobilized, ready to face new challenges and pursue its war objectives, vowing never to allow Hamas to reconstitute itself.
