In a new issue of A Sunday in the Countryside, Sunday January 5, 2025, Frédéric Lopez chose to give the floor, among others, to Michel Fugain. The singer and composer initially spoke about his conception, which was original to say the least. Indeed, he was conceived while his father was in prisonduring a visit from his mother. His father, Pierre Fugain was, during the Second World War, incarcerated at Fort Barraux by the Vichy regime while he was a resistance fighter. “My father was a student of Pétain and at that time he was a medical student, a young communist student.
