According to Dr Djimadoum Kimassoum, more than 1,800,000 people die each year from illnesses caused by contaminated food.

”More than 250 known diseases are transmitted through food. Food safety is a public health and socioeconomic priority. Indeed, in recent years, Chad has experienced an increase in diseases which currently represents a real public health scourge. This guide could really help reduce cases of illness caused by contaminated food, so we are looking for everyone's contributions,” he explains.
