This is a first. The “All in triplex” self-test, which allows you to detect Covid-19the flu as well as the bronchiolitisarrives this Wednesday in French pharmacies, reveals The Parisian.

Like the nasopharyngeal tests during the pandemic, you must gently insert the sponge swab from each nostril and rub for fifteen seconds.

This self-test from the French manufacturer AAZ can be used by both adults only by the children. It received the green light for marketing on October 23 for a period of five years, specifies The Parisian.

Around 10 euros

“All wholesalers” received 15,000 doses, sold for around 10 euros each. This is the price recommended by AAZ but each pharmacy is free to set its own.

As for the reliabilitythe High Authority of Health pointed out in a report published in June 2023, spotted by Le Parisien, “sensitivity levels significantly lower than those displayed on the instructions” rapid antigenic diagnostic orientation tests (TROD).

On this subject, AAZ specifies to the media that a national survey will be launched during the winter of 2025-2026.
