March 2023, Deborah falls ill and the diagnosis is terrible: it is stage 3 lung cancer. After several sessions of chemotherapy, she has just started immunotherapy, a relatively expensive treatment. Deborah needs help financing her care. Let’s donate and fight against disease together.
The news of the illness was shocking. Following a persistent cough, Deborah made multiple trips to the doctor before being diagnosed. This mother of four, in her fifties, had the shock of her life when she learned that she had stage 3 lung cancer. For this non-smoker, acceptance was hard, but she had to pull herself together and get treatment.
Since last year, Deborah has been struggling, going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. She made 18 and 33 respectively. For the treatments to be even more effective, immunotherapy must now be performed. This acts on the immune system to help it fight against disease. Deborah has already done one session, three more are planned.
Hope for patients
Very expensive, immunotherapy is nevertheless necessary in certain cases. A hope fortunately accessible for those who need to be treated, but who do not have the required money.
