As part of the Gentlemen’s Challenge, a month of awareness and prevention around male cancers, the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee is organizing, with the League, a pétanque tournament whose profits will be donated to research.

The highlight of awareness month. The Gentlemen’s Tournament comes this Sunday, November 24, to conclude several weeks of prevention and action against male cancers. The month of November has in fact seen, for several years, the Gentlemen’s Challenge taking place, in order to encourage men to be screened for prostate and testicular cancers.

This Sunday, the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (CDOS) of Gers is organizing, in partnership with the League Against Cancer, a pétanque tournament at the indoor bowling alley in (impasse Alphonse Lloret). A sporting moment of sharing, conviviality and solidarity open to all players.

The competition will start at 10 a.m. and end around 3:30 p.m. Registrations will be open from 9 a.m., although it is advisable to register in advance. Each double will have to pay €10 to participate. This sum will be donated to research against male cancers. The tournament will take place in 25-minute games.

The League Against Cancer will of course be present and will hold an information and entertainment stand. A refreshment bar and a cake sale will also be set up, again for the benefit of the League. The lunch will be offered by the organization.
