My health space is evolving: focus on its new features

Two years after its generalization My health space continues to evolve to meet the needs of patients. Insights into the new features and comments for each of them from France Assos Santé.

In February, the Ministry of Health and Health Insurance celebrated the two years of My health space with an event during which Gérard Raymond, President of France Assos Santé, was able to demonstrate the successes of digital health “at the French “. Indeed, this digital health record has been activated by more than 12 million users since 2022 – more than 550,000 new users in the month of April alone – and absorbs nearly 300 million health documents each year.

Far from resting on its laurels, My health space is evolving to offer an ever more relevant service to users, both for health professionals who are required to consult your health space online (with your agreement) through the “Ségur du digital”, supported by public authorities, as well as for users of the health system and patients.

France Assos Santé looks back at the latest major new features for users that might interest you:

Agenda

As promised at its launch, My health space now includes a health calendar functionality. Consisting mainly of personalized reminders of the main health and prevention appointments, it will allow you not to miss these important steps. In the examples shared by Health Insurance, we will find in particular:

  • Mandatory child health appointments (20, total);
  • “M’T dents” oral exams for ages 3 to 24;
  • Compulsory vaccinations throughout life;
  • Reminders for organized cancer screenings (available soon).

Examinations at key ages

With the creation in 2023 of assessments at key ages, i.e. 18, 45, 60, and 70 years, Health Insurance encourages patients to take stock with one of their health professionals on their lifestyle habits and the topics that concern them to improve your physical, mental or even social well-being. To facilitate their preparation, the patients concerned receive a form in advance which allows them to pre-fill the answers to the various questions. Initial advice can be offered based on the answers provided. But, above all, it is possible to print the document or save it securely in My health space to share it with health professionals, including the one with whom the assessment will be carried out.

Sending prescriptions to the pharmacy

My health space includes secure health messaging for patients. Healthcare professionals are required to use this type of tool to secure health information transmitted via messages. Until now, patients could only communicate with their professionals, via this messaging, in response to an initial message from them. Recently, patients can initiate an exchange themselves via this channel in the case of electronically sending a prescription to their pharmacy. The pharmacy can thus possibly prepare or order certain products which appear on the prescription before their arrival. This avoids unsecured sending by traditional mailbox.
