A remote cancer monitoring experiment launched in hospitals in the region. This system allows cancer patients to take an active role in their care. A questionnaire must be completed to transmit the information to caregivers.

The Calais Hospital Center and that of are concerned. In Calais, cancer patients have been able to benefit from it since May 2023. 68 people have tested this innovative telemedicine solution. Thanks to Cureety software, caregivers remotely monitor the health of people affected by cancer. This system improves patient care and quality of life and reduces emergency hospitalizations.

Nathalie Ibrahim, oncologist at the Calais Hospital Center.

To benefit from it, all you need is an internet connection.

In Calais, the satisfaction rate of remote monitoring users is 95%. The average age is around 78 years old. Which shows that the application is practical and easy to use.

Depending on the information communicated by sick people, the hospital receives a green, orange or red signal.

In addition to being beneficial for patients, the implementation of this experiment allows the hospital to be contacted less by telephone for non-severe symptoms. Remote monitoring is already showing its effectiveness at the Calais hospital center where cancer is the leading cause of mortality.
