Lucien Georgelin cereals recalled throughout France due to too high a dose of an organic compound

ABe careful if you are used to consuming Lucien Georgelin brand cereals for breakfast. A massive recall of the “Croc’” range is underway throughout France. In several batches of these cereals, too high a content of Datura alkaloids was detected. Datura is a highly toxic substance: by ingesting it, the consumer is exposed to various symptoms such as visual disturbances, tachycardia, agitation or even confusion and hallucinations. The Lucien Georgelin brand did not specify the origin of the contamination of these cereals.

The batches concerned

According to Rappel Conso, here are the different affected batches of Lucien Georgelin cereals. Consumers who have purchased these cereals are asked to no longer consume them, destroy them or return them to the store for a refund.
