Threatened with death, a Maurepas medical office on strike in Rennes

In this Gast medical office, at 14, rue de La Perrière, in the heart of the Maurepas district, in , there are seven doctors and a secretary who are the targets of more and more incivility, insults and now threats. Until this patient, who came to the office twice last week and who threatened one of them by declaring : “I’m going to come back and burn the cabinet and you with it. » “We called the police, who came, explains Françoise Jegu Raïd. As an initial safety measure, the doctors have decided that, on Monday October 14, the office door will be closed, and that only patients with appointments will have the door opened one by one. “And then we decided that this needed to be known, it is no longer possible to work in these conditions, we want people to become aware of what we are experiencing,” declares Françoise Jegu-Raïd.

The firm has existed for thirteen years. “There is more and more incivility, but I think it’s worse since the start of the year. We had only one male colleague, who retired. Is it because we are only women in the cabinet that a minority no longer has any brakes? It’s a minority, but these threats are on our minds. How is this possible when we are here to treat people? »

The secretary being particularly exposed to incivility and threats, the cabinet decided to close the secretariat. Appointments will only be made on doctolib. The doctors hope that their alert will be heard by the population but also by the town hall. “Perhaps she can help us find new, more secure premises? » Signs indicating that the firm is on strike will be posted this Monday morning.
