Legionnaires’ disease in Mirabel: no new cases have been declared to the Laurentides Public Health Department, according to what the Laurentides Integrated Health and Social Services Center reported this morning.

Still according to the organization, the environmental investigation carried out at the Laurier housing complex, where a resident lost his life after contracting the disease, and where two other cases were reported, could not confirm the source of the illness. contamination.

The Laurentides Public Health Department assesses that there is no health risk that would justify additional measures since all potential sources have been examined, tested and controlled.

The samples taken from the hot water distribution network were all negative and a heat treatment of the hot water distribution system, recognized as effective in controlling Legionnaires’ disease, was carried out.

The public health department assures that it will closely monitor the situation.
