Since the day before yesterday, Thursday, in the province of Ifrane, a medical convoy covering all specialties in the rural world was launched as part of the National Rural Health Program and in application of the regional plan for mobile medical units aimed at bringing services closer together. health. closer to the local population and in order to support health institutions in the sector in order to provide the necessary health care and improve access to health services in rural areas. This convoy was organized under the supervision of the Regional Health Directorate. and Social Protection in the Fez-Meknes region and the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane, in partnership with regional authorities and rural local authorities.

These mini-medical campaigns were carried out for the benefit of the rural population of the rural local authorities which make up the Ifrane region, according to a practical program extending over a period of two months.

The objectives of this program are:

* Concerning reproductive health: monitoring of pregnancies, promotion of admission to childbirth in maternity wards, early detection of breast and cervical cancers.
* Concerning chronic diseases: detection of diabetes and high blood pressure among target groups, while improving case monitoring to avoid complications.

* For communicable diseases: early detection in target groups of acquired immunodeficiency diseases, viral hepatitis, etc.

* Concerning school health: detecting and correcting student myopia

* Organize awareness-raising and awareness activities on ways and means of preventing diseases by adopting healthy behaviors and lifestyles.

In order to succeed in these campaigns, and in addition to the resources available in rural health centers, the delegation from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection mobilized medical, nursing, administrative and technical staff, supported by significant biomedical equipment. and logistics, composed of three mobile medical units and an ambulance, in addition to two trucks equipped with an ultrasound machine, an electrocardiogram, examination and vision correction equipment, and a mobile laboratory for laboratory tests,

This initiative was well received by citizens in inaccessible rural areas.
