The Covid figures, according to public health France, are starting to rise again. Barrier gestures are therefore strongly recommended as well as participating, for the most vulnerable people, in the next vaccination campaign which begins on October 15.
The Covid figures, while not alarming, do however show a certain upward trend. The symptoms are very clear, runny nose, fever, fatigue, cough and headache. Like the flu, but you should go and get tested at a pharmacy or hospital. The current symptoms of Covid are still linked to the Omicron variant, mainly under its JN.1 lineage which is the majority in France.
The indicators are starting to rise again
According to a latest report from Public Health France, published this Wednesday, September 25, all indicators for all ages were increasing in the city and in hospitals. This increase is driven by adults and more particularly those aged 65 and over. At the wastewater level, where many analyzes are carried out, the increase in the detection of SARS-CoV-2 continues for the fourth consecutive week.
Barrier gestures and vaccination
Public Health once again and seriously recommends the adoption of barrier gestures. They remain an effective means of protecting yourself from a respiratory infection and its complications. They help limit the risk of transmission to those around you and particularly to vulnerable people: wearing a mask in the event of symptoms and regular hand washing is recommended. Still as part of prevention, the vaccination campaign, targeting in particular people aged 65 and over as well as people at risk of serious illness, will begin on October 15.
